“Game of Thrones” Banners For All 30 MLB Teams

banner_braves

The “Game of Thrones” Season 4 finale is upon us. Seems like a good time to unveil our collection of house sigils for every Major League Baseball team. These banners were inspired by an outstanding NHL-themed collection created by artist Rachel L Cohen (@kat326 on Twitter).

These images were all created by @34inXXIII, the author of @NOTMLBTonight, NOTSportsCenter’s official baseball guy.

We will provide you with two guarantees in the following pages: 1) we will spoil nothing that has not already been revealed in the TV series, and 2) none of your favorite players will be killed off during the course of this article (though we make no promises about missing body parts).

As usual with all of the logo remixes you’ve seen on notsportscenter.com, they’re broken down by a division per page with some commentary on each one, and then this time all the realms are united in one image on page 7 with some suggestions of other remixes you may or may not have seen yet.

Check them all out by clicking the page numbers at the bottom.

Lords and Ladies, if it pleases you, here are your Game of Thrones MLB team sigils….

American League East

Blue Jays

In the Land of Always Winter (also known as Canada), the long hibernating Toronto Blue Jays are finally beginning to put together a force to challenge the powers that be to the south.

Orioles

Baltimore is MLB’s version of The Vale. The Orioles’ chances of winning the World Series are much like the chances of surviving a fall through the moon door. Also, like young Robin Arryn, Manny Machado is a petulant little child in need to being slapped on occasion. We just hope that that is where the comparison ends and we do not find Machado still nursing at Buck Showalter’s teat on the dugout bench.

Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays share a symbol with the Dornish family of House Martell: the sun. Also, like Oberyn “The Red Viper” Martell, if the Rays were to play the Colorado Rockies, they would likely get crushed by “the mountain.”

Red Sox

Last season, the Boston Red Sox not only looked like Tormund Giantsbane, their swings were nearly as deadly.

Yankees

The most obvious comparison for the New York Yankees is the Lannisters – the richest family in the entire kingdom. There do seem to be cracks in the foundation, however, and it appears the most popular character will be gone after this season. Uh oh.
