Special Rules For Game 163

six_umpires

It’s fairly rare for teams to play a 163rd regular season game in Major League Baseball. That must be why so few people know the special rules that are implemented for such occasions. For example, catching a fly ball on a short hop counts the same as catching it in the air. That has to be the only explanation for six umpires calling this an out.

If only the NFL allowed catches after a ball bounces once. Tim Tebow would still be in the league.
