Special Rules For Game 163
- Updated: September 30, 2013

It’s fairly rare for teams to play a 163rd regular season game in Major League Baseball. That must be why so few people know the special rules that are implemented for such occasions. For example, catching a fly ball on a short hop counts the same as catching it in the air. That has to be the only explanation for six umpires calling this an out.
