GIF: Darth Vader Hits HR, Millions Scream Then Suddenly Silenced

As far as the baseball talents of evil leaders are concerned, Cuba’s Fidel Castro may have a little competition. Video has recently been uncovered of Sith Lord and unofficial New York Yankees mascot Darth Vader taking some swings in a Japanese baseball stadium.

Naturally, it’s great that Vader’s bomb struck the Death Star, but it would have been nice if it had struck and destroyed a location we all could have agreed would be more deserving, like Tampa Bay’s Tropicana Field.

This does raise an important question about Star Wars lore, however. While it is assumed that all stormtroopers are clones of bounty hunter Jango Fett, seeing one give up a home run like that makes us believe they may actually clones of Blue Jays pitcher R.A. Dickey.
