GIF: Kentucky F Julius Randle gets dunked on by one of Santa’s elves
- Updated: December 28, 2013

Remember 40-0? Those were the days for Kentucky. That lasted around oh…two games. Then it was “39-1.” And then “38-2.” And then 37…well you get the idea. “We’re never going to lose” quickly converted to “oh please God we can’t lose to Belmont.” Luckily, they didn’t.
Things haven’t gone quite as planned. On December 28th, Kentucky had a big showdown with in-state rival Louisville, and their point guard Russ Smith, who had just returned from a long few nights working in Santa’s Workshop in North Pole.
At one point right before halftime, the dimensionally challenged Russ was feeling particularly brave and decided to fly through the lane and take on 6’9, 250 lb F Julius Randle.
It didn’t work out so well. For Randle.

Santa clearly gave Russ special powers for Christmas.
Julius Randle returned to the locker room not too long after halftime with “cramps,” aka “man I still can’t believe I got dunked on by an elf.”
Here’s full video of the dunk:
