GIF: Matt Harvey loses his no-hitter on an error

Matt Harvey was cruising through the Braves lineup today to the tune of a very easy 6.1 no hit innings. But then his no-hitter was broken up by the mere fact that he plays for the Mets, a vicious killer of many no-hitters, games, seasons, careers in the past. It’s not often you can lose a no-hitter on an error, but when you play for the Mets, even scoring rules can’t stop you from failure.
It was likely scored a hit for Jason Heyward just to save the Braves the potential embarrassment of being no-hit by the Mets (or to save Matt Harvey’s career if you’ve seen what’s happened to Johan Santana since his). Check out the hilarity below.
