GIF: Philip Rivers gives up throwing, starts kicking the ball
- Updated: September 22, 2013

Philip Rivers: the jokes really write themselves with him, even with him improving under Mike McCoy this year. Failip’s team has now blown two late leads and is 1-2 instead of potentially 3-0 (what a scary thought that would’ve been.).
At the end of the game, San Diego tried to pull something out of the music city miracle playbook to win the game (instead of playing defense like most teams).
The ball got to Philip and he decided to do…this:

Philip’s really thinking outside the box there, must be McCoy’s coaching. He wasn’t kicking anything under Norv (except himself, of course.) It’s week 3, and Philip Rivers is already trying to play soccer instead of football. It’s only going to get better from here.
