REPORT: Darrelle Revis named #1 WR for Smith, Tannehill, & Manuel
- Updated: March 12, 2014

After the Bucs signed former Titans CB Alterraun Verner for about 50 cents (at least compared to Revis, anyway), the question became what would happen to Darrelle Revis? Would he find another team, or would he be quarantined so that others wouldn’t catch “Tampa Bay” from him? Would he let his beard grow out and start pandhandling like Ed Reed?

Ed Reed’s new career
It’s a very star-studded profession, many others such as Terrell Owens, Vince Young, and Warren Sapp have pursued panhandling since their NFL days have ended.
While the questions about his future swirled, other players and coaches throughout the league couldn’t resist taking a few shots at Darrelle while they had the opportunity:

Antonio Cromartie may have a point.
Well turns out, the joke was on them, as Darrelle Revis did find another job. 3 of them in fact. According to a report, he was named #1 receiver for Geno Smith, Ryan Tannehill, AND EJ Manuel. Yes, all 3 of them. He’s going to be busy. They shouldn’t have a problem sharing, as all 3 have been sharing with the rest of the NFL since they were drafted.

Don’t pout Geno, you’ve finally got a #1 WR.
What does Darrelle think about his new jobs? “Well actually, I’m not very happy. I signed a $12 million contract, I didn’t realize it was going to be for 3 jobs. I need a raise. I think I’m going to hold out. Yes, actually. I’m announcing my hold out, effective immediately. I refuse to play until I get the raise I deserve. Screw you guys. I’m going home.”
There you have it straight from the man himself, Darrelle Revis breaking news. Will anyone believe it if isn’t attributed to a source? We’ll see. But how about that, Darrelle Revis isn’t happy with his contract. Stevie Wonder could’ve seen that coming.
