Top 10 Sports #ThingsTimHowardCouldSave

It’s been Tim Howard mania since the loss to Belgium, and rightfully so, considering he recorded more saves in one game against Belgium than the Cubs have since the year 2000.

We’ve already done one #NOTSCTop10 Tim Howard memes, which included some great action shots from in-game, how he gets to the game and the secret equipment he may or may not have used:

The development of the hashtag #ThingsTimHowardCouldSave spawned off so many great memes we decided to do ANOTHER Tim Howard #NOTSCTop10, the first time we’ve ever done two on one person back to back. And it’s on a soccer player…what is America¬†coming to?

There were tons of very funny memes, all of which were worth of the number one crown. We decided to narrow it down to events in sports.

We’ve ranked them from 10 to 1 based on the significance of how Tim Howard would’ve altered sports (and even world) history had he been there. Check them all out by clicking the page numbers below.

There’s events from NFL, NBA, and MLB that Tim Howard came to the rescue and bailed out notorious blunderers like Tony Romo and Mark Sanchez.

Not all of these may be the original authors, but we listed below the number and description of what Howard is saving where we found each picture. If you are the original author and we have it wrong, let us know in the comments and we’ll adjust it.

The commentary on each picture is ours, however.

10. RG3’s knee, from Mike Shanahan

If Tim Howard would’ve been there, RGIII would still be crushing it, the Seahawks would’ve been out, and Mike Shanahan…probably would’ve still been out of a job.

Let’s face it, odds are it wouldn’t have mattered, Shanny was ready to let the Seahawks kill him before pulling him.Perhaps because Shanny wanted a new head to mount on his wall? Who knows.

If only Timmy would’ve been there we would’ve seen 2 deaths on the field: RG3, and then Shanahan.

Roger Goodell explaining how the deaths were “good for player safety” would’ve been outstanding comedy.
