Video: Glass-banging hockey fan gets hit by errant bodycheck

Montreal — A woman has been discharged from a local Montreal hospital after her hockey fandom resulted in her getting, in the words of today’s youth, “wrecked.”
Cheering from seats on the glass during a game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Montreal Canadiens, the lady in question (she asked that we withhold her name for privacy reasons) stood and attempted to engage in the time honored tradition of banging on the boards when, well, see for yourself.

Ouch. Sources told us here at NOTSC that she was taken to the hospital as a precaution (because getting hit by a full-on bodycheck can be fatal to most mere mortals) and that she was released with nothing more than a little bruise and a healthy respect for what players go through on a nightly basis. Upon finding out that the Canadiens would end up losing the game 3-2, she reportedly slammed her fist on her car’s dashboard before getting t-boned by a SUV. Maybe she didn’t learn anything at all.
