VIDEO: Pacers coach Frank Vogel yells at Shane Battier during 3
- Updated: May 26, 2014

After watching Ray Allen make 3 after 3 after 3 after 3 after 3 after 3 after 3 after 3 after 3 after…well we’d be here all night if we covered all of them, in Game 3, the Pacers decided to change some things up on defense.
Did Frank Vogel stop trying to cover Ray Allen with David freakin West? Did they double shooters? Did they play more man to man instead of zone, or a different type or zone? Did they start taking out guys with steel chairs over the head? No, none of that. (That last one would’ve been cool, admittedly.)
Instead Frank Vogel took it upon himself to try and cover Shane Battier.
Literally.

Not surprisingly, that didn’t work either.
Oh well, their coaching strategies might not work but at least they’ll have plenty of time to mourn the death of Lance Stephenson (Vine: notsportscenter.com/RIPStephenson) while they’re playing golf during the Finals. So it’s not all bad,.
