VIDEO: Royals DH Thrown Out at First Base From Right Field

The Blue Jays are one of the hottest teams in baseball. The Royals – despite what many believed before the season – are still the Royals. They rarely hit the ball out of the park. Actually, they barely hit the ball hard enough to get the ball out of the infield, so it must have been quite a shock to Kansas City designated hitter Billy Butler to lace a line drive into right field. As Butler made his way up the first base line with all the pace of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade – granted, it is his top speed – Jose Bautista loaded up the cannon.

There may be no more appropriate play to represent the Royals. Just when they appear to be on the cusp of success, they embarrass themselves yet again.
