VINE: Clint Dempsey’s goal gets a Team America soundtrack
- Updated: June 16, 2014

The World Cup means one thing: it’s time for people across the US to pretend like they care or know anything about soccer besides that it’s also called football (don’t even ask them how to spell it the right way.)
Why they suddenly care so much about a sport they wouldn’t turn on if someone pointed a gun at them when it wasn’t the World Cup is a valid question, but it’s not an appropriate one right now.
But when Clint Dempsey scores on Ghana faster than the speed of sound while the Patriotic craziness is at “everyone in the entire country’s teams just won the Super Bowl, NBA Finals, World Series, and Stanley Cup Final all at the same time” type of levels, there’s only one appropriate soundtrack to give the goal.
Team America. World Police.

Sadly it’s censored, because they actually are children watching.
Don’t worry, they’ll be back to complaining about how boring it is and no longer watching, before long, then we can swear all we want.
After all, the US has about an 8 second attention span. America, F– yeah!
